PRANAYAMA - THE BREATH OF A YOGI

PRANA - LIFE FORCE
THE FORCE THAT ANIMATES ALL THINGS
PRA - CONSTANT
NA - MOVEMENT
YAMA - CONTROL / REGULATION
AYAMA - TO LENGTHEN
Pranayama is rooted in the tradition of Yoga. It offers a range of breathing techniques, supporting body and mind.
Pranayama is the bridge between the physical and
subtle aspects of yoga.

THREE KEY ASPECTS

Spiritual Meditation
INNER REFLECTION
The breath reflects our mind and our inner world. It is a tool to dealing with difficult emotional states and finding a way back into a creative and empowered flow.

KRIYA
Kriyas are purification practices. They support digestion and provide insight into the connection between mind and stomach.

FROM DENSE TO FINE
The breath is energy, it is a subtle experience of who we are. The perception of physical boundaries and the definition of "self"  can change through this practice.

SNIPPTES ABOUT ME

My husband and I have a close connection to the foothills of the  Indian Himalayan. The places Leh and Drass are particularly close to our hearts.

Even as a child, I had the habit of listening deep into the mountains and feeling their energy with every cell of my body.

The breath work at this altitude is demanding and has further refined my approach to pranayama.

Allowing yourself to be guided entirely by your breath and adjusting your everyday pace entirely to your breathing rhythm, is fascinating to me.
